Why are all my PDF's being saved as 'Invisible' ??

I just downloaded the latest version of Adobe DC with a 30-day trial onto a Macbook Pro (mid 2012) and every file I save now is literally invisible in the specified location. Additionally, I tried saving to the desktop (and could physically see it) but when I try to drag and drop to a file on the server, or anywhere, it says "The item can't be placed because it's invisible." WHAT does that mean, and how do I change it? The files are technically there because when i try to save again it asks if I want to replace it, so they're there just not able to be moved or manipulated.

So far I'm not even a little convinced to pay for the full version if its this ridiculous from the start!

Hi Lauren -

Good luck! It isn't that uncommon for something to go awry when you install software, and I've had to do it on occasion. The important thing is to try to figure it out. The simplest thing is to do an uninstall/install. You may find some help at Apple, although from what I've seen researching your question, the usual response is to try reinstalling the software.

I hope it works. Acrobat is a great program, and you'll be surprised at the sorts of things you can accomplish/produce.

Hi Lauren -

The issue isn't with Acrobat, it's with Mac OS. Experiencing a hidden file issue isn't common, so it's probably a good idea to uninstall/reinstall Acrobat again to see if that corrects the problem.

In the short term, you can use the Mac OS X keyboard shortcut to view hidden folders and files. From the Open or Save dialog, press Command + Shift + Period. Note that this only works in Open and Save dialogs — not in the Finder itself.

Thanks Donna!

I followed your instructions (thanks!) and sure enough, the invisible docs appear within the save prompt window, but it doesn't save that file as visible, and still hides them as soon as that window closes. I literally installed the newest version this morning, can't imaging right out of the gate there is a problem but will delete and re-install just to cover my bases.

Assuming that doesn't work, I will try to find answers through Apple/Mac venues, thanks for the guidance and wish me luck!
