Why can't I export PDF comments to word?

I have a pdf with several comments and I am trying to export the comments to word. I get this error even though I have a more recent version of MS Word. What gives?

Error: "This operation requires Microsoft Word 2002 or later to be installed on your system."

System Info:

Windows 7 Enterprise

Acrobat 8 Standard

MS Office 365 ProPlus Version: 15.0.4815.1001

Hi.

Acrobat 8 (released in 2006) is conflicting with Office 365.

You need a more recent version of Acrobat or an older version of Office.
