Why cant I read sticky note comments in a pdf document I have been sent?

This is driving me crazy! I am working in windows 10 and have been sent a reviewed document as a pdf for me to revise but beyond seeing some highlights and inserted notes,  I cannot open these to view comments. Does anyone have any ideas??

Have you found the solution...? I am having the same problem and I am going crazy...... I have months work that I cannot see any of the notes (sticky notes) that I have done on my documents..............

Please let me know if you found a solution....
