Why do all my PDF's open in Reader DC when I have Acrobat XI installed on my PC?

Hi,I purchased Acrobat XI a few years ago and recently someone updated my computer and now I have Reader DC installed too. Whenever I open a PDF it automatically opens in Reader DC. How can I change this so that all my PDF's only open in Acrobat XI. Should I uninstall Reader DC, why do I need Reader DC?Thanks for your help!
