Why doesn't Acrobat X Pro recognize my scanner?

I am running a Paralles desktop windows 10 on my Macbook Pro.  Acrobat X Pro does not recognize my scanner. I can scan documents on the Mac OS10 side with Mac Previews and an application called PDFScanner.  I have repaired the Acrobat X Pro installation once.  Are there any suggestions?

My Printer scanner is a anon MX870.  I've updated drivers reinstalled them to ensure they're current.

Sorry for the issue you are facing. Can you please provide following information to help us identify and resolve the issue ASAP:

- Does Acrobat X installed on Windows?

- Are you facing this issue on Win 10 or Mac

- Are you able to scan with same scanner with any other application other then Acrobat X on same OS

Issue might be Windows is not able to recognize this scanner. So no application will be able to use this scanner.

Things to check.

1. Did you install the Windows drivers for the scanner into the Windows 10 system?

2. Assuming it's USB, Did you disconnect the scanner from Mac OS and connect it to Windows?
