why is the combine feature "quitting unexpectedly?"

Question

I have a mac running on El Capitan. I recently downloaded the Acrobat Pro DC. Having trouble combining files into a portfolio. It's not that many files (compared to what i've seen in some google search inquiries) and yet the feature is "quitting unexpectedly." Can anyone with similar experience help me out with some advice? Thanks.

Hi Dale Padelford,Could you please let me know does this happen only when you try to combine PDFs or also when you trying to perform other tasks?Try to repair the installation by navigating to Help>Repair installation .Also try referring this link : Troubleshoot Windows system errors, freezes | Adobe software Let us know if this helps.RegardsSarojini
