Will Acrobat Pro DC still work when Java is gone?

I just received notice that Java will no longer be available to the consumer after 2020.  Will Adobe Acrobat Pro DC still work without it?  I don't know what Java does and need to know if I can just delete it.

Java is not going anywhere, or half of the applications in the world will stop working... If you're a private user then the changes Oracle announced really don't mean much to you.

You may have seen that Acrobat uses "JavaScript". Confusingly this is entirely separate from "Java", not connected at all.

Adobe Acrobat has nothing to do with Java.
