With the Tools>Comments>Open panel Lots of El Capitan SWOD

When working in a PDF document with Comments from a client (comment panel on right open - Tools>Comments>Open), Acrobat Pro DC lags with lots of spinning OSX beachball, then eventually an Acrobat crash.

Is El Capitan compatible with Adobe? Or should I be asking the reverse?

I find the same when working in Photoshop, especially when accessing fonts and using the Text tool.
