Won't save after edit

I just got Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on my work computer. I open a pdf, click tools and Edit PDF. After editing, I click file/save or file/save as and change the name. But when I reopen it, nothing has changed. OR even odder, only a few things have changed!?! What the heck?? I didn't create the form so could it be that I don't have access?

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!

Experiencing same or very similar issue.  DC on MAC.  Latest OS, latest DC. 

After editing a document the save (disk) icon is not available (grayed not active).  Only when I quit (i.e. close window) does it prompt to save changes?  Seems to be corrupted process.
