A few weeks ago, Adobe required each computer at our office to download Acrobat Reader DC. Now every PDF file opens with Reader...and it doesn't offer an alternative. We pay for Acrobat X Pro. Is it possible to delete Reader from the computers entirely? What's the purpose of Reader DC?? Thanks!!

Hi williamf43936745,

Reader DC is the latest version provided by adobe only to view, print and manage files.

You cannot edit a pdf in Reader DC.

If you do not wish to use Reader DC , you can make acrobat X your default program to open up all  pdfs by navigating to the menu bar  ==> Edit>Preferences>select "General" under the categories and select the option "Select as default PDF handler" under the Application startup label.

Also you can change the default app into acrobat X from the computer settings.

Let us know if this helps.

Regards
