Back Button Does Not Go To Previous Page and Save As ASE Not Available on Libraries Page

I don't know who is in charge of the Adobe Color site, but recent changes have rendered it virtually unusable for me. When viewing the Libraries page (where all you view the themes you have saved), to save a theme as an ASE file, you now have to 'open' the theme to have the option to save as an ASE. When you click the back button in the browser to return to your Libraries page, you are returned to the Explore page. What brilliant mind though this was an acceptable solution!!!!! The back button should ALWAYS RETURN TO THE PREVIOUS PAGE no matter what some programmer thinks it should do.

You can no longer download a theme to an ASE file format without opening the theme first. Personally, I think the default file format for download should be ASE since that is the format the the Adobe software recognizes. It used to be available on the Libraries page as an option for downloading...someone removed it in the last few months.

The brilliant minds at Adobe should realize that not all of use the Libraries function inside the Adobe applications. In my case, it doesn't work on my work computer. I work for a defense contractor and do not use nor can I use the Adobe Cloud feature since it is against the policies of the United States Federal Government to store things in the cloud!!! When I use the Adobe Color site, I have to save my themes and download them to my computer, then manually add them to the Adobe applications. Yes, this is a pain in the you know what but it is what I have to do to not be fined or cause my company to get in trouble.

If you don't want to add the download as ASE function to the libraries page, then at least give us the ability to open the theme in a new tab so we don't have to rely on the back button since it no longer works as expected either. I have no problem opening each theme in a new tab, downloading as an ASE, then closing the tab. This would be many less steps than it is going to be the way the site is working today.

Please I am begging you to make the download as ASE available again from the libraries page. I love the Adobe Color site and use it quite often but it is now basically useless since it is going to take me twice as long to do what I need to do.

Regards,

A Longtime Adobe Applications User

Thank you for the detailed feedback. i have conveyed your feedback internally here and will try to answer them as well.

1. As ASE format wasn't the best consumable thing for most of our users, they requested jpg/pdf export option, which is now default from thumbnail view. And download ASE still is available in one-up/detailed view. Unfortunately because this one up view is not a separate page (but a dialog), so back button will take you to the last page you were on, before it. The proper solution here is to close the opened dialog using close button (top right of dialog), or by clicking on outside of dialog boundary, which will also close it.

2. Click on thumbnail of a theme->in opened dialog, click on theme name (left side, just below color swatches)->this will open detailed view in a separate tab->from here you can download ASE and you can close the tab.

3. And yes, if you are unable to save them in libraries, then the workaround to bring them in adobe products is not the best.

4. We will also discuss bringing ASE back as an option (in the form of drop down) from thumbnail view.

Let us know if this works for you or doesn't work, we will surely try to resolve your issue soon in a best possible way.
