Question

CMYK Value in Adobe Color vs CMYK value in InDesign

It's driving me CRAZY! I saved a color theme to my CC library. When I saved the theme to my swatches, the CMYK value changed to a completely different number on the InDesign swatch than what Adobe color has listed. When I changed the values to the CMYK value listed in Adobe color, the color became dull. My color settings profile is North American General Purpose 2.

CMYK values are very much print process specific.  Adobe color provides worthless CMYK values, but is great to use for Lab values.

I recommend using those in Adobe Color then making sure the color settings are correct in InDesign for the print process you are preparing your files for.
