Color Settings Keep Changing to Default settings

My custom color settings keep changing to "North America General Purpose 2" or "Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6.0". This happens when I first fire up Illustrator or Photoshop, and then every time I open new file. Sometime it happens when I just minimize a program.

I've read other blogs - I've opened Bridge and chose my custom settings in there- its says it is synchronized. And yet it keeps changing at least 10 times throughout the day! Its super frustrating- I shouldn't have to select my color settings everytime I open new file!?

This same problem is happening to 2 other co-workers. What can we do work around this problem?

Thanks,

Can you check your Color Settings in the Edit menu?

There is a bug caused by the recent Photoshop update. It sets your Illustrator Color Settings to Emulate Illustrator 6, which turns color management off.

If that is the case, use the CC app to revert Photoshop to the Previous version (22.2.0) and then change your Color Settings to what you want it to be.
