This was created for our Career Coaches to do push in lessons in grades 6-12. It is an introductory lesson to career exploration and Adobe Express. The slides feature a "messy" objective and slides for key vocabulary to increase comprehension among different learning groups. We used Pathful for career exploration but any platform can be used. Students use the Book Cover Guided Activity to complete the lesson. Designed to be a mini lesson and a short acitivity for student engagement (estimated classtime: 45 minutes).

What a cool way to remix the book cover Guided Activity and repurpose it for a completely different subject area, Koralina! Thank you for sharing with the community.

I'm curious to learn why you chose Pathful and more about the scope & sequence/ objectives for your career coaches.

The primary reason for using Pathful is that our county subscribes to Pathful. It is a robust career exploration tool that features a variety of skill/interest surveys, college and career information, as well as job shawdowing and guest speaker oppurtunities. Naviance is similar platform.

The primary purpose of our coaches is to provide personalized coaching and guidence to our students so they can explore relevant career opitions and oppurtunities beginning in grade 6. They work closely with our local work force development chapter. In addition to one-on-one meetings with students, they also conduct small groups and push-in classroom lessons. As students get older the activities become more focused how to achieve their future plans. Each grade level has it's own set of objectives, for example grade 6 is exploring personalitities and overall interests, by 9th grade students create mood boards and about what they want for their future, by 12th grade students should understand the roll of college majors or trade schools play in attaining their goals.

Thank you so much for sharing more, Koralina! This is super helpful - it sounds like your team is doing incredible work. I'm Christina, a product manager on the Education Team. I'm exploring what kinds of student-facing content would be of interest to students, including around creative careers. I'd love to see a scope and sequence of your program if you don't mind sharing either here or feel free to shoot me an e-mail cpena@adobe.com
