Hi everyone, I’d love to know — does your school run a scholastic esports program?

There really is only one major requirement - more than 1 teachers. It's such a great way to build a strong teacher team, and run some staff competitions to guage interest. Once you have a couple teachers, the kids can run the rest with teachers watching on and helping the kids be creative. Adobe Express helps launch the program with the cool banner creation and the kids just love promoting with the character animation stuff.

Interestingly, it was optional for this assessment period, but more than 1/2 the sutdents used the voices and characters over their videos to increase communication and creativity. How cool.

Hey MJ,

We've actually been using Adobe Express in a number of ways to support esports programs. New teams and programs have been using Express to design team logos, banners, jerseys, and other assets to build team brands. We've also seen some teams using the video editor to produce gaming reels and assets to share out on social and on YouTube.

On the gaming side, we've supported the Minecraft events in both NYC and LAUSD. One Express template that's been particularly popular has been this one which allows gamers to create their own Minecraft skins: https://adobe.ly/minecraftedu

These are some instructions that were actually for an Adobe Illustrator version of the template but they will at least provide some insight into how the Express template works.

Ohh this is awesome @Mr MJ Raatz! Wow... truly phenomenal insights and resources. In my previous District, we launched eSports teams and competitions and it was awesome seeing the excitement students had! Your program sounds phenomenal! It's inspiring to read that student wellbeing, digital literacy, creativity and future-ready skills are at the forefront! Also - no doubt - the students are rocking their creativty to celebrate and showcase learning with those Adobe Express Character Animations, edits with Premier Pro and all the hype in Photoshop and Express!
