Podcast: Weekly Welsh Phrase Feature

Whatever language your school teaches, the new Podcast feature on Adobe Express is the perfect way to share language learning—not just within your school, but with listeners across the world!

In Wales, all schools must learn Welsh, even if learners primarily speak English. To promote the Welsh language, our school, Ysgol Bryn Gwalia, has a Senedd (school government) made up of different pupil-led groups. One of these groups is Criw Cymraeg (Welsh Crew), who work hard to celebrate and promote the use of Welsh throughout the school.

By using the podcast feature in Adobe Express, Criw Cymraeg now share our Welsh Phrase of the Fortnight with the whole community. This has been incredibly positive for our learners—they are developing confidence in speaking, presenting, teamwork, digital literacy, and creative communication skills. They take pride in preparing each episode and love knowing their voices can reach people beyond the classroom.

This is a perfect example of how language can be shared and celebrated in a modern, engaging way. And it doesn’t stop at Welsh—perhaps you have learners who speak other languages. Podcasting provides a wonderful opportunity to promote inclusivity, diversity, and cultural pride by giving every language a platform.
