Adobe Font Licensing for use in Word documents

This question is about Adobe licensed fonts used in Word documents.

We have a user with an active Creative Cloud subscription creating Word documents, and they are mostly using the "Rival" font.

So if they create a document using the Rival font, and they give that document to other users that do not have their own Adobe subscriptions, are those users allowed to access and edit that document?  They would not have the Rival font installed on their own systems, but I believe Word would allow them to make changes just to that document.  Does the user have to be licensed also, to be able to do that?

And one short side question: If the person that created the documents later no longer had an active subscription, would they no longer be allowed to use those Word documents at all?
