Adobe fonts activated will not load in Figma

Check that the font is activated in Creative Cloud on your computer: 

• Open the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app. 
• Navigate to the "Added fonts" tab and scroll down to find the font you want to use, or browse for more fonts through the app or website. 
  Once you've found the  Adobe font you want to use, click "Add Family" to add it to your fonts. 
• Then, finally, check within the Creative Cloud app, and if necessary, click "Install Family" again to make the font available for non-Adobe applications. 

Were fonts from the Adobe Fonts service previously visible in Figma's fonts menu? Does Figma have a desktop-based app or is it entirely web-based? If the app is only web-based (like Canva) it may not be possible to make Adobe Fonts visible in it.

Obvious trouble shooting steps: make sure you're logged into your Creative Cloud account. Check the fonts section in the Creative Cloud desktop app. The fonts will either be available "in Adobe apps" or "in Adobe & other local apps." By default, when fonts are added at the Adobe Fonts web site they are only available to Adobe apps. They have to be installed (using the CC desktop app) to be available to other applications installed on the computer.

Web-based design apps may require a user to upload any fonts that aren't in the app's default collection of fonts. I think Figma relies on Google Fonts for its collection. I don't know if its Font Helper browser plugin can "see" all fonts installed locally on a computer. If it requires unique fonts to be uploaded then that would be a road block for Adobe Fonts use. The fonts that are synced via the Adobe Fonts service are not visible on the computer's hard disc.
