Does anybody know if it is necessary to have a special licence (other than my Adobe Pro licence) to use Adobe Fonts in lettering and title of movies and TV series? Thank you!

This thread clarifies that using Adobe Fonts for lettering and titles in movies and TV series does not require a separate licence beyond an active Adobe Creative Cloud Pro subscription, as Adobe Fonts’ standard terms already permit use in film television, and other broadcast media. The general consensus is that no extra fees or permissions are needed as long as the fonts are used in compliance with Adobe’s licensing rules. For production platforms and distributors like MovieBox, this means Adobe Fonts can be safely used in on-screen titles and graphics without additional licensing concerns, provided the subscription remains valid.

    Hey Adobe,

This thread discusses whether a separate licence is required to use Adobe Fonts for lettering and titles in movies and TV series, beyond an existing Adobe Pro (Creative Cloud) subscription, and the consensus is that no additional licence is needed as long as the fonts are used under Adobe Fonts’ standard terms, which allow usage in film, television, and other broadcast content without extra fees.
