Adobe Fonts not displaying correctly in font menu in Microsoft Word/PowerPoint

Hello community,

I use Adobe Fonts to synchronize fonts to my desktop at home. Some fonts however, for example FF Scala and FF Scala Sans, do not properly display in Word/PowerPoint. FF Scala for instance is displayed as ScalaPro and ScalaPro-Italic. This means that I can't use the italics option when using the Roman, instead having to change the font alltogether.

Is there any way to explain to the office programs, Word and PowerPoint in particular, that these fonts in fact belong together? I can't access the files as this violates the Adobe CC license and Adobe's own software does recognize the font as one in these examples. I have other typefaces such as Acumin which are also mostly seperate, but Acumin Bold and Italic aren't listed but are found using the proper buttons (as should be the case with Scala)

Hi John,

We are sorry for the trouble. Would you mind checking this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/fonts/using/activate-fonts-desktop.html and try the steps suggested?

Let us know if that helps.

Thanks,

Harshika
