Adobe Fonts on Windows Takes Way Too Long to Sync After Startup

The Adobe Fonts on Windows is noticeably slow for me compared to macOS.

After booting my PC, the Creative Cloud Desktop app can sometimes take 12–25 minutes before Adobe Fonts are fully loaded and available across apps like Premiere Pro and After Effects. It slows me down a lot. But on my MacBook, the exact same fonts appear almost immediately after startup.

I dont think it has anything to do with my hardware or internet connection. My setup includes:

• 720 Mbps download / 500 Mbps upload
• Ryzen 9 5900X
• 64GB RAM
• RTX 4060 8GB
• 2TB NVMe SSD

Everything is fully updated, including Creative Cloud and Windows.

Feels like the Windows version of the Creative Cloud Desktop app handles Adobe Fonts syncing/background activation much less efficiently than macOS.

Would love to see improvements in:
• Adobe Fonts sync/loading speed on Windows
• startup performance and responsiveness
• reliability of background font activation

There's a huge difference between the Windows and macOS workflow experience. Hope to see this fixed anytime soon! thankss

    Hi @Gabriel31799829ykh5,

We’re sorry for the delay. Thanks for sharing such detailed feedback—we really appreciate it.

I completely understand how frustrating this must be, especially when there’s a noticeable difference between your Windows and macOS experience and it’s impacting your workflow.

From what you’ve described, this seems related to slower background syncing and activation of Adobe Fonts on Windows, particularly during startup. While your system specs and internet speed are more than sufficient, delays like this can sometimes occur if the Creative Cloud desktop app takes time to initialize services or sync font data in the background.

A few things you can try:

    • Ensure the Creative Cloud desktop app is fully launched and running after startup before opening Adobe apps
    • Open any Adobe app and manually open the Libraries/Fonts panel to help trigger sync
    • Try signing out and back into Creative Cloud to refresh services
    • Restart the Creative Cloud app, or use the reset shortcut:
      • Windows: Ctrl + Alt + R
