Are 90-percent of the alternates/glyphs for Neighbor Stencil font missing for only me - or for all?

In the Adobe Fonts, I activated the Neighbor Stencil family. In the description, it shows some really neat examples of wide upper case, narrow uppercase, diamond upper case, and many other alternate options. Had the designer not uploaded these samples, I would never have realized I'm not seeing all the glyphs for this marvelous enormous font family. I can only see wide for a few of the caps ... not all of them... same with narrow, diamond, etc. Anyone else have this problem, or am I just unlucky? Using in Illustrator. Thanks. I'm sorry, but I must be doing something wrong. Here's a screenshot of what I see when I look at the entire font's glyph offerings ... under the "W" there is no arrow or hidden option showing. I've seen those arrows, but I'm not seeing them in this font. What am I missing? Could I see a screenshot of what you see when you select a capital W please? 


The little arrows are there in the lower right corner of many but not all of the glyph tiles in the Glyphs palette. The tiles that do have arrows have additional glyphs hidden under them in flyout menus. In the case of the "W" in the upright styles of Neighbor Stencil there are no alternates. But there is a swash "W" in the italic styles.

 

I attached two PNG images, one showing the Medium style and the other showing the Medium Italic style. In the first PNG image I clicked on the "A" to show the alternates nested under that tile. The second PNG image shows the alternate nested under the "W" tile. The PNG images of the glyph palettes are high in resolution; I screen-grabbed them from a 3840x2160 display. You can zoom in pretty tight to see the arrows in the lower right corner of the glyph tiles very clearly.

 

It's common for typefaces with expanded character sets to include certain kinds of alternate characters for some letters but not others.

The glyphs are all there (almost 800 per font file). They're just not as easy to find as they probably should be. Some of the options can be accessed via the Character palette. But the OpenType palette needs to be used to access certain other features, such as applying the various stylistic alternatives to strings of text.

 

Also, the 9 italic styles have certain options not found in the 9 upright styles, like swash alternates for the capital letters.

 

Sometimes I'll just open the Glyphs palette and scroll through it to insert specific characters into a text string. Even the Glyphs palette will have alternate letters hidden under other letters.

    Thank you for answering. So then does that mean the sample images I attached aren't odd looking? (My glyphs palette examples of what I see.)

    It's not odd looking. Sometimes the Glyphs palette will default to showing limited ranges of characters. A lot of the time I'll select "Entire Font" in the "Show" drop-down menu options. That usually shows a more complete picture of the font's complete character set, although even in that view some characters will be hidden under other characters as fly-out options. You have to look for the little arrow in the bottom corner of the glyph tile and click on it to have the other alternate characters become visible.
