Are webfonts on my website visible to others who don't have the font installed?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but if I use a (licensed) webfont on my website, will it show for people who don't have the font installed? I think the font would show, because it's served from the cloud, but I'm not sure. Thank you.

    How do you use the font in your web site? Do you hand code HTML, or use an Adobe app (which one)?  Are these fonts included in an Adobe Fonts subscription?

    I would have a Creative Cloud license. As I understand it, I would create a project, pick the font, get the code, and then add that code within the <head> tag. It's a WordPress site, and doing it that way adds the font to the site.
