Can't install font :-(

I'm trying to update a logo but PhotoShop wants to replace the font with one that is very different. The original font is mistral. I couldn't find it in TypeKit but I found it online and have downloaded it. Is there any way to load this font into PhotoShop so that I can still use it? It was originally done in PhotoShop so I'm not sure why the font isn't recognized or can't be loaded.
