Question

Can you take an Adobe font and modify it to look like sand?

Wondering licensing wise, if I'm allowed to take an adobe font and modify it to look like sand like the attached picture? Not doing anything to the actual font software. Just making a word in photoshop. Does that break any licensing agreements?

I don't see why there should be any problem with that. You're creating an image in Photoshop using some lettering as a rendered 3D object. That's very different from trying to redistribute font software.
