Creative Cloud subscription for a client to host webfonts.

Hello,

According to the docs any subcription that includes Adobe Fonts should work for a client to be able to host webfonts on their site. Will it be enough for them to subscribe to a single app like InCopy to be able to have to font on their website?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

As per the docs any subcription that incorporates Adobe Text styles ought to work for a client to have the option to have webfonts on their webpage. Will it be enough for them to buy into a solitary application like InCopy to have the option to need to text style on their site ?

    Much obliged ahead of time.

The client cannot host the font on their web site. They are not given a font file to put on a font host. It doesn't work that way. However, rather than hosting the font they can use the font on their web site, by reference, hosted by Adobe.

I have heard that the suggestion that one app subscription is enough (if it is an app with Adobe fonts). But you should put it to the client this way: you can subscribe and get the font included. Or you can license the font(s) for web use, hosted on your own web site. Adobe Fonts is convenient, but if you forget to pay, or the person with the subscription leaves the company, the font will of course stop working. Also Adobe from time to time remove fonts from the subscription. While Adobe Fonts are great for personal sites and prototyping, some people recommend avoiding Adobe Fonts for live web sites, and prefer to license it themselves. I suggest a providing a comparison of the costs.

Thanks! Host was the wrong word. I meant license. Webfont licenses require annual payments which are more expensive than a creative cloud license. A creative cloud license for InCopy includes Adobe Fonts so I was just wondering if that would cover their licensing needs.

    Hi @robertor54851834,

Could you please share the article which you read? Also, please check this article which will let you know at which level you can access Adobe fonts: https://helpx.adobe.com/fonts/system-subscription-requirements.html

Let us know if that helps.

    Regards,

    Hi,

I was referring to the section 3.3 of the term and conditions. My client will need a creative cloud subscription to be able to host the webfonts we used for the design. I was wondering if a one app subcription to InCopy which includes Adobe Fonts will suffice for them?
