Dated Server Running Adobe Programs Not Installing Fonts

Hello I work of a remote server and our programs are on this server. Since it is dated I am running an older Creative Cloud and several apps on older versions. In the last year or so I haven't been able to add fonts, luckily most of our clients are repeats but I do have clients who do use fonts not currently installed on my system. I access Adobe Fonts online and install there and on my personal laptop (not on the server it add it) However I need my files on the server as well as the programs and none of the apps are properly updating. I can't reinstall creative cloud, doesnt help. I close out and restart it doesn't help, there is a complete break down in communication between Adobe Fonts website and the apps. I would like to know of a proper work around for this. I have tried installing from the app itself and while it pulls up in the search, an install never happens. If I reopen it comes up with unavailable, and asks if I want to enable Adobe Fonts and it does absolutely nothing.

I apologize for the rambling, I have tried so many ways to work around it but it is absolutely terrible that the fonts I activate through Adobe cant be used on the Adobe Apps and for the clients who use it in their branding with Adobe Fonts as a reference.

    Hi @KML91,

Just a heads-up — Adobe Fonts aren’t licensed for server use, as outlined in section 3.4(E)(1) of the Adobe Fonts terms: https://adobe.ly/4eRO1Q4

While this setup may have worked for you in the past, it isn’t officially supported or permitted under the license.

    Hi @KML91,

Thanks for reaching out! We're sorry to hear about this. Could you please answer a few questions below?

    • What operating system is running on the remote server? (e.g., Windows Server version, macOS)

    • What version of Creative Cloud Desktop is installed on the server?

    • Which specific Adobe apps (and versions) are you using on the server?

    • Are you using the same Adobe ID on both the server and your personal laptop?

    • When you activate a font on the Adobe Fonts website, does it show as active in your Creative Cloud desktop app on the server?

We're here to help, just need some info.

    Regards,

    Tarun

The Windows Server is Windows Server 2019

    Creative Cloud Version 5.5.0.617

Apps used: InDesign 19.4, Illustrator 28.4.1 and Photoshop 26.8.1 (I believe this is the most up to date I can get it without issues)

Server and laptop both are logged into my work account

Adobe Fonts won't open on Creative Cloud at all - click and nothing. Website shows it and Creative Cloud on my laptop shows it. My laptop though is not what I work through and access.
