De-activate Acumin Variable Concept

I'm using Acumin VF variable font. How do I turn off or de-activate Acumin Variable Concept font? It seems to automatically come activated with Adobe InDesign etc.

    Okay. I've found the font on my Mac.

     

    InDesign > Resources > Required > Fonts

     

    I presume, dispite being in a folder called Required, that I can remove the font file without creating any problems for InDesign?
