I have been having this problem with the font deactivating in my laptop while it shows activated on the Creative Cloud client as well as Adobe Fonts website. Has anyone experienced this and how to successfully navigate through this error?

P.S I am using a work laptop with standard corporate security.

    Hi Matthew,

We are sorry for your difficulties as you are unable to activate the fonts. To investigate the issue could you please help us with the OS version of your system and also the Creative Cloud Desktop App version. Also, let us know if the font missing/deactivation happens in all applications or a specific application? Since when are you facing this issue? Could you help us with the screenshot of the issue if possible?

As you said you are working on a work laptop with standard corporate security, is there anyone else facing the same problem? Is it a third-party font you are using?

We are here to help, it's just we need more information for our investigation.

    Regards,

    Neelam

    Hi Neelamk,

I am working on a Windows 10 Enterprise OS. I am not aware of any other person using Creative Cloud in my company. I only have this problem with fonts activated on Typekit/Adobe Fonts. The Creative Cloud Desktop App version is 5.7.1.1

The deactivation occurs device wide. Here is the sequence of events to help visualise the problem:

Font is activated on Adobe Fonts > Creative Cloud Desktop App shows fonts are activated > notification appears informing that the recently activated fonts are deactivated > Illustrator/inDesign/Photoshop shows fonts appear on 'show more' tab but is not available for use.

Hi Matthew – We'd like to take a look at the CoreSync logs on your machine to help determine why your fonts won't stay activated.

    On Windows:

    1. Open Windows Explorer

    2. The log folder is hidden by default, so make sure that hidden folders and files are visible. Under the Organize menu, select Preferences and then the View tab. Choose the "Show hidden files, folders, & drives." option, then click Apply to confirm the changes.

    3. Go to C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\Temp\CreativeCloud\CoreSync\
where "(username)" is the name of your user folder on your computer.

Attach the 3 or 4 most recent CoreSync-yyyy-MM-dd.log files here if you're able. If the files are too large, you could use a file sharing service or send me a private message and I'll provide an email address to send the files to.

    Best regards,

    Molly
