Question

Font is synced, active and still missing from programs... CC is running as well...

I've had this font called Balboa lose it's condensed versions for some reason. It's been happening for a while, but I've just hit a point where I really need the extra condensed version and it's not available. I've tried these steps, but it hasn't resolved the issue: https://helpx.adobe.com/fonts/kb/troubleshoot-font-activation.html

The font says it's activated, so I'm not sure why this is happening, but it's pretty frustrating. I'm hoping someone knows how to fix this.

I think this happens when there is a conflict with a system font and an Adobe font. Now that you have removed the system font by the same name, go to the adobe font website and deactivate it again. The open the file and activate it from there.

I've tried that a few times, including rebooting the PC in between, but it doesn't work unfortunately.

And now the fonts have decided to switch roles. ExtraCondensed is back and now Condensed is missing.

Have you tried deactivating the font from the adobe font website before opening the file? Then activate it again with the missing fonts dialog. This has worked for me in the past.

I just tried that and it switched to giving me an actual error: A font with the same name is already installed. So I checked system fonts and there was another font of a similar name so I removed it. Restarted PC, reactivated font, opened ID and it's back to being missing again, but it says it's activated on CC.

It's odd because this error from ID says to check CC for the reason...
