Question

Font licensing - use in an iframe

Hey all,

I'd like to license fonts for the specific iframe use case. We create applications that are then embedded on the client website (we use <iframe>, like the YouTube player). Please have a look at the image below:

  • Our app and client website have different URLs

Do we (as a provider of the iframe) need to purchase a license for us, or should our client purchase a license on their own?

Hi przywarty,

Thankyou for reaching out. This would be allowed by the license if both URLs are owned by the company. The company doesn't have to own the client's URL but they need to own the URL that is serving the <iframe> with Adobe Fonts.

I would also recommend you to test this out technically before moving ahead to make sure it works for your exact scenario.

Let us know if that answers your question. We would be happy to help.

Thanks,

Harshika
