Foreign fonts aren't showing up in InDesign Creative Cloud

I have installed several Hindi fonts and it says all is well and it should work on all CC apps. When I try to use the font it displays as boxes with nothing in them when the CC app says the fonts are all installed. I am going to be designing several posters with different languages and none are showing up when they did before. What happened and how can I make this work? Any input would be appreciated.

    We're sorry for the delay. I just came across your post and wanted to ask you a few questions. Are these Adobe Fonts which you've downloaded? Did you try using that font in another app to check if that's working fine there?
