How do I install a free font I've downloaded to my computer

I want to use a font that I downloaded for free onto my computer. It's not in the Adobe Fonts plus I did a search and Adobe couldn't find it, so I need to install the font. FontsFree-Net-AvenirLTStd-Book.ttf

I can't see anything that allows you to install new fonts?
