How to connect an adobe font to my 2008 iMac with CC2018 photoshop.

hi, I have the Photography package.

Are Adobe fonts included with it?

i activated a font in adobe fonts, then tried to get it to work in my 2018 photoshop using forum advice but it won't work. My creative cloud icon didn't have the options I'd read about. My iMac is a 2008 model with El Capitan.

is it just not possible with how out of date my stuff is? I don't have money to upgrade.

i've been uploading google fonts instead with no issues.
