Problem with fonts in creative cloud

Yuuuuuup same here. I keep having to uninstall and reinstall all the Adobe Fonts. What a useless feature. Back to Google!

I share your frustration about the font list problem in the Creative Cloud app. It is annoying the default behavior is to expand all type families in the list. To make matters worse the fonts list scroll bar loves to hide about 99% of the time. The few times it is visible it's a hit-or-miss situation being able to click and drag it. At work I have to use the scroll wheel on my mouse to cycle through the Adobe Fonts list. With all families expanded it requires a lot more scrolling to get through the list. At home I use a Wacom tablet and pen. There is no scroll option there. I have to resort to the arrow keys on a keyboard.

I definitely preferred the former situation where computer users would do all their management of Adobe Fonts through the Adobe Fonts web site. The web site was easier to use than the implementation in the CC Desktop app.

Regarding an "install all" button, such a thing would NOT be good. Having all 4619 type families installed (over 30,000 font files) would be certain to drag down any computer's performance. Keeping in mind the current situation of scrolling through the fonts list in the CC Desktop App, the idea of having that many fonts installed would make managing the fonts list impossible. New families are added to Adobe Fonts from time to time. On some occasions certain type families are removed.

It's a lot easier managing a list of only a couple hundred fonts. I try to only have fonts active that I'm using at the time. I have a few frequently used favorites I keep activated. I get rid of others I'm not using in order to keep the fonts list somewhat small and more manageable. If it turns out I need a font I recently deactivated I can add it again quickly and easily.

Adobe Fonts does seem to automatically deactivate fonts that haven't been used in something like 150 days. When fonts are disappearing from the list much sooner the problem points to other issues. The solution can be as simple as signing out of the CC Desktop app, re-booting the computer and signing back in to the CC account. Or it may require deleting the font data cache file and forcing the computer system to re-build it.
