I am looking for fonts that have a true little "a." Can you help me?

I think you might need to explain "true little a". Are you referreing just to the general shape, with or without a curve sweeping over the top - and which one is "true"? From Wikipedia: " The lowercase version can be written in two forms: the double-storey a and single-storey ɑ. The latter is commonly used in handwriting and fonts based on it, especially fonts intended to be read by children, and is also found in italic type."

True a is the one story with no curve sweeping over the top. This does not
seem like a big difference, but I want a font that uses the a that children
first learn to read and write. I want the text to be easily read by
    children.

    Thank you.

From what I read, most Italic fonts (but not "Oblique" fonts) will have the "true a". So will handwriting-imating fonts. However, there will also be fonts designed for engagement with young children. That's a specialist area but worth looking into.
