Why can't we search and download fonts in one place anymore?

Super annoyed at the fact that adobe fonts is all of a sudden no longer user friendly. Search fonts from adobe fonts but can't install from adobe fonts. Can install fonts in the CC app but can't search fonts in the app. Why is Adobe sending us on this wild goose chase for fonts now? It's interfering with efficiency and workflow.

Yeah, I was a bit thrown by the new "add family" button and its behaviors at the Adobe Fonts web site. I wouldn't mind using the CC app to "install" fonts for other non-Adobe applications to use if the process wasn't so cumbersome.

My biggest complaint is the lists of Added Fonts, Installed Fonts and Removed Fonts is not well organized by type family. Some families I've activated/installed will have every style in that family listed individually along with an expanded drop-down arrow of details for each font file. For example, Industry Inc from Fort Foundry is a family of 10 fonts. In the CC app all 10 of those fonts are listed out as if each is their own separate font family. There are lots of other type families that behave in this manner. Anyone who has more than 100 or so fonts synced will have to do a lot of scrolling to manage fonts.

This wasn't so much of a problem in the past, because the default behavior at the Adobe Fonts web site was to activate fonts for all applications in one's computer. Now the "add family" button, by default, activates fonts only for Adobe applications. Users have to take the extra step of going into the CC app and clicking the "install" button to allow other applications to use those fonts. I wouldn't mind this if all the font families I've synced were "collapsed" into their own grouped families. With some families I'm having to go font by font and click an "install" button. In the case of Industry Inc, I had to click "install" on 10 individual font listings. It would be maddening if I had to do the same with a "super family" of 90 styles.
