Why is adobe fonts so horrificly [cursing removed] usable?

Honestly what even is the point of this garbage? It ruined my premiere pro...

Anytime I shut down my pc and the next day I come back to continue editing all of texts are messed up. All of them are wrong font... and for some reason I can't even make them the proper font anymore because after I started using this pure agony disguised as "adobe fonts" the font list is either fully empty or just bugged to the extreme where choose the font called owners and I get some awful default windows font called oblivia or osd.

I have downloaded the font locally too after adding to my library and it still doesn't work. Sometimes if I'm lucky it works after an hour of restarting, reloading and doing other [cursing removed]. Why can't we just get .otf files?? I'm done, I'm giving up. This broken [cursing removed] adobe fonts is driving me nuts, I can't do it anymore what  do i do? This is annoying, i hate it. Please fix it I'm begging you, please
