why it takes so long to sync fonts?

When I activate some font in the web platform, it takes sooo long to sync with my computer.

no internet issues

no computer issues

clean install (windows and adobe software)

takes about 15 minutes sometimes, it is just frustanting... can we have some kind of button or process where we (users) can force the sync?
