Export fails when app goes into background

Question

I would like the video to keep exporting if the app goes on background, it is really disappointing that I have to keep the export screen on forever to save the video. It also makes the device unable to do anything else while export is going on

Thank you for sharing this feedback—I completely understand the frustration of needing to keep the export screen active.

Good news:

1. We'll soon be releasing an update that significantly speeds up exports, reducing your overall wait time.

2. Regarding background exports: iOS 26 has made this technically possible, and we're actively exploring it. We agree it would be a valuable feature and we are exploring how we might be able to take advantage of this new ability.
