Offloading Projects for Later Recall

I have 40 odd 3-4 minute finished videos produced with Premiere for iPhone. It’s been great while holiday in Spain with no other device. I am now pushed for storage on my 256 gb iPhone, with Premiere taking 120gb.

Can I use Adobe Cloud to offload a Project to make space for new Projects and then recall the offloaded Project on demand?

This would work like Apple Photos storing primary images in the cloud and lighter versions locally until you need them in full res locally.

Thanks!

    Hi @john.vaughan

Thanks for writing! Glad you had a good trip to Spain!

Right now Premiere doesn't have an automatic cloud backup, but what you can do today is use Share Project to zip up your projects and store them off the phone:

    1. Tap the three-dot menu on the project's thumbnail.

    2. Tap Share Project.

    3. Save the zipped file to Files, either on your device or in a cloud service like iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or Dropbox.

When you want a project back, import that zip into Premiere and it will reappear in your project list.

Before you delete anything, I'd try it with one project first. Share it, import it back, and make sure it opens with all of its media intact. Then you can offload the rest with confidence.
