Prevent cutting video from deleting underlying audio and shifting text layers

​@Vivacious_appreciator46d3  Good question. What you're seeing is expected behavior tied to how associated (linked) clips work in the app right now. The association is based on where the audio clip starts, whatever's on the main track directly above the start of that audio clip is what it's tied to. So even if the audio runs underneath and extends into a different clip further down, splitting or deleting the clip above its start point is still what shifts or removes it.

At the moment there isn't a way to disassociate a clip from the one directly above the start of it. The workaround is to move that audio clip so its start is no longer positioned under the main clip you're about to split or delete, that breaks the association so it won't get pulled along.

Good news: we're actively exploring a link/unlink button so you'd have direct control over this instead of needing the workaround. No firm timeline yet, but it's on our radar.
