the app crush when I open a specific project on Adobe Premier

Hello,

I am having a serious issue with an Adobe Premier app on my iPhone.

I created a video project before signing in to my Adobe account. The project is saved locally on the device. The app itself opens normally, and I can create new projects, but when I try to open this specific existing project, the app crashes immediately.

I have already tried the following:

  • Restarting the iPhone
  • Offloading the app (not deleting it)
  • Reinstalling the app after offloading

After offloading, the issue remains the same. The app still crashes only when I attempt to open that particular project. Other functions of the app work normally.

I do not want to delete this project. Even if it cannot be edited, I want to know whether there is any way to recover, repair, or access the project data, or export the video.

Please let me know if there are any additional steps I can try, or if this project can be recovered in any way.

Thank you for your help.

Hi everyone — thanks so much for hanging in there. We’ve just pushed a new update to the App Store, version 26.2.1, which includes a fix for this issue.

We really appreciate your patience and support, and as always, thank you for using Premiere. If you run into anything else, please let us know .

Happy Editing!

I was so excited to see this post.

I have updated my Premier on iPhone and unfortunately, my project still doesn't open.

I have tried to export the Project and send it to you, but my file is almost 4Gb in size!

I have updated the Premier and tried launching my project. Is there anything else I need to do to use the app and be able to continue editing my project?

THanks,

Krzysztof

After a few weeks, there's no solution, I think Premiere for iPhone is not a good/stable app

I gave this app a try, a third video is corrupt, unable to edit

a few hours lost, there are better free options out there

Same problem on my iPhone 16 Pro Max

I have worked a lot on this project and don't want to lose my edits.

Sorry you've hit this crashing issue. I'm also sorry for the delay in response. Many of the engineering team were off for the holiday season.

To help diagnose this properly, could you share your project file with us? This will allow us to investigate exactly what's causing the crash:

Step 1: Enable Project Sharing
1. Copy this link and paste it into Safari:
2. When you open that link, it should prompt you to launch Premiere.

Step 2: Share the Project
  1. Go to your Projects screen
  1. Find the problematic project thumbnail
  1. Tap the "⋯" (three dots) menu below your project
  1. You should now see "Share Project" as an option
  1. Share it via email (pgaraway@adobe.com) or file sharing link

Once you send it, we can analyze what's causing the failure and hopefullyprovide a specific fix. Thank you!
