Question

Why call it Premiere ?

I'm a bit puzzled why Adobe have chosen to call this App 'Premiere' on iPhone, since as a user of Adobe Premiere for many years I do not see the core fundamentals of a video editor within the App.
It seems to focus on image manipulation and using up your credits rather than editing video.

I started with Premiere in 2002 - LONG before it was called Premiere Pro - so as far as I know the name has just carried forward to later versions, including the 'baby brother' program Premiere Elements

Thanks @Peru Bob, yes you are right,  I should have posted it on 'Premiere for iPhone' discussion.

To be honest, it was my only first impressions after loading the App on my phone. After digging around a bit more I did find timeline and tools, but quite frankly working on a screen 6.1 inches across to edit video is not my ideal choice.

Perhaps its my age ? 🙂

As regards Image manipulation, I'd  also rather allocate these tasks to my NVidia card on my desktop along with Lightroom etc.

Just a personal view.

No need to take this any further I don't think.
