26.2.2 Renders same file on loop - Renders EXTREMELY slow

Exporting a 10 minute, most R3D footage with AE comps and third party fx. The plugins used is digital anarchy flicker free and deep glow—never have issues with either.  Renders usually take about 25-30 min. Today on the latest build, it took 5 hours and then once I came back, it had restarted the render and made a duplicate.

Since downgrading to 26, it seems more stable except render times are still 2-3 hours.

I got the same specs as you. Same problem that the media encoder is super slow. It’s always starts in Software only mode. Then I go in preferences and there it says video rendering cuda, I can’t even change that setting. I go back and now it says cuda but it still acts as if it was software only.

How do you use AME? Do you send over from After Effects? Is the comp placed in a Premiere project? What drivers and operating system do you use? Did you recently do system-level updates? Did you update the plugins? Did you try in 26.3 Beta?

    Hi EckiAME,

I export from Premiere to AME. AE comps are native in Premiere timeline. I downgraded to AME 26.2 (Build 52) which fixed the rendering loop but export time is still atrocious. The 2 plugins I use are updated to their latest for the past 6 months or so.   I’m trying other projects with the same plugins and fx and so far, same thing.

I don’t expect a fix in this forum, I just want to bring attention to the matter.
     Thank you

There were some GPU-related fixes going into most recent Betas. You may want to check out the Beta performance.
