Adobe Media Encoder 2024 Just Forgot My Presets and Watched Folders Again

AME 24.1.1 (Build 2) on macOS 13.5.2

Several export presets and four Watch Folders disappeared and need to be rebuilt from scratch.

Thankfully AME '23 still has them and can be used.

Custom Presets, Watchfolders, Keyboard Settings and Workspaces will be migrated over when this checkbox is checked in the CCD settings. I am not 100% sure about the behaviour if auto update is disabled, but the user should have gotten an info dialog asking about migration.

Thanks, but this wasn't a new installation of AME 24. It had been in use since November. The presets and watched folders simply disappeared when they had been there the day before.

Hi, so the files just dissapeared from your filesystem? Were they placed on your boot drive or an external or NAS drive? Are you sure there is no virus scanner or any other 3rd Party tool involved, that scans your OS? Were you signed in with the same Adobe ID all the time? I will reach out to the Devs, but I am pretty sure AME doesn't even have the code to delete these files, when there is no updating in progress. Was this the first time, it happened? If you say, your presets are gone, it means they are also gone from your Premiere Pro installation. Are files missing in other Adobe apps (Premiere workspaces, keyboard shortcuts etc.)?
