Adobe Media Encoder Errors

I've had many errors with exports, nothing seems to be working, it seems like a file is exporting and it says "Reading XMP" but never actually exports. Or I get the rainbow ball and nothing happens at all, Media Encoder just crashes. Media Encoder is an awful program, I've always had issues with it. Really wish this app would be updated because it constantly slows down my workflow.
