Adobe Media Encoder takes forever to start encoding

Hi,

I always use the h.264 codec to display my preview files in After Effects. Unfortunately I am forced to use the Media Encoder to do so. This takes forever. Before Media Encoder a typical scene took about 20 seconds to render. Now the Media Encoder tries to connect to dynamic link server for about 5 minutes, followed by 2 to 3 minutes of encoding. Is there a way to get rid of the dynamic link and the long render time?

    I have the exact same problem,

    It takes forever to start, its fine then for me, but the initial start takes forever.

    even for 90 secs. Try explaining that to the client when hes sitting next to you and you're not doing anything.
