Adobe Media Encoder v23.4 is now available for download from Creative Cloud desktop app.
This update includes support for Sony VENICE 2 ver. 2 & important bug fixes. This update is recommended for all users.
New features in v23.4
Supports iPhone Cinematic clips
Media Encoder can import Cinematic clips from iPhone 13 and later devices.
Supports Sony VENICE 2 firmware v2 camera update
The Media Encoder supports all imager modes made available by the Sony VENICE 2 firmware version 2 camera update.
Metadata moved to Create Encoding Preset
Media Encoder allows configuring metadata using the Create Encoding Preset dialog instead of Export Settings.
List of issues fixed in v23.4
- Multichannel exports in Adobe Media Encoder fail to render all channels of an audio effect.
- A crash was encountered when using a ProRes 4444 MXF preset with the render at maximum depth setting enabled on Apple silicon systems.
- ProRes MXF files would sometimes be missing the alpha channels when imported.
- Some ProRes 4444 files would have poor playback performance if they did not contain alpha.
- Some .mfx DNxHR HQX 12-bit files showed visible banding during playback.
- Metadata Setting ignored when trying to export a file without XMP sidecar.
