AE to AME connection problem - Could not read from the source.

Hi

I have not been able to render using Adobe Media Encoder for several months now with the error message below. From AE it's not possible to do "add to Adobe Media Encoder" via the menu, I can only get the file to appear in AME using the Queue in AME button in the Render Queue, however I then can't render it and it shows the yellow exclamation mark error message (below).

There are many suggestions from people with this problem, however none of these workarounds have solved my issue (delete cache, remove plugins, change permissions). I am on Big Sur 11.6/AE and AME 22.11 and the problem started after my last update to a newer AE back in October.

Any suggestions?

Sorry about the issue. Are you noticing this issue on a specific project? Do you have third-party plugins installed?

Hi Kartika

no, I don't have any 3rd party plugins installed in AE nor Permiere. I think the problem may be related to an update to mac OS 11.6. and new versions of AE/Premiere.  I did notice a lot of strange permission related problems also from other Adobe applications incl. Indesign after that which I mostly fixed. Both applications still don't render out via Media Encoder and I am currently rendering twice (pro res and them import file to ME) which is a pain if you have to output volumes on social media. Other than wiping adobe from my system for a clean install which I don't have the time for I have no idea what to do.
